85th Anniversary Celebration
When we were in FL for our Development Conference, we had the opportunity to be a part of Word of Life’s 85th Anniversary Celebration! This was a very cool experience, and encouraging to know more of what we are now a part of all over the world!
We got to hear stories and testimonies about how Jesus is working all over the world through camp ministry, bible institutes, and the international locations. There were different styles of worship we got to sing together, remembering how God continues to work over time, through His people, for such a time as this.
One of the elements of the anniversary service was a flag ceremony, representing the 87 countries around the world where Word of Life is serving through 1,600 missionaries! It was emotional to be a part of this Acts 1:8 moment:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
