Vision Clarity
One year ago, I got glasses for the first time. I was hoping I just needed ‘readers’, but my cousin who is my optometrist said, “You probably needed glasses three years ago!” Definitely getting older :)
Since I had never been through the process of getting glasses, my only reference point was the eye charts at the DMV for getting a drivers license. Read the lines, and move along.
But to go through the process of comparing this lens to that lens, and to do that over and over again, until at the very end the correct lenses all get dropped in place at once, and suddenly I CAN SEE!!! And not just see, but to see with such great clarity!
Having clarity on the vision for what Jesus
is inviting you to do works the same way!
It’s interesting the timing of these events in our lives, because about the same time last year we went down to Panama to serve Coronado Bible Church and help our friend Jon Fowler. We got to go as a family, but had no idea what God was going to do on this trip.
Prior to this trip, I had been doing a lot of work on knowing my unique wiring and leaning into my sweet spot of what my greatest contribution to the Kingdom of Jesus looks like in this current season of my life.
Having that clarity on the mission of what am I doing, and the values of why am I doing it, and the strategies for how I am doing it, and knowing the measures for when do I know it is happening… all of these things together bring a vision clarity to sensing where God is taking us next.
My vision clarity led me to this…
Seth exists to glorify God and make disciples
by "CULTIVATING INTEGRATION".
Cultivating people’s full Kingdom potential
by uniting Gospel Truth with meaningful relationships.
Finally having language to describe everything I was sensing inside of me was much like seeing through the correct lenses for the first time, suddenly I CAN SEE!!! And not just see, but seeing with such great clarity!
When we were in Panama, Jesus did a work in us that only He can do, to lead us to the opportunity we have stepped into with Word of Life Panama. Clarity is a gift, of what you can say ‘no’ to, and what you get to say ‘YES!’ to.
When you see a need, and clearly sense how you are uniquely wired to meet that need, then there is such a joy, and fire in your chest, to run towards that calling!
And this is something we feel called to do as a family! Marcela and I unpacked this story in our first podcast we did together, where we got to talk about our journey and how we sensed together that Jesus was inviting us into this as a family. That we were made for this! Check out that podcast here.
We are so excited to step into this next major chapter of our lives as a family and in ministry because we have such great confidence in the vision clarity of what our greatest contribution to the Kingdom of Jesus is for such a time as this!
Thank you for joining us on this missionary adventure!
